Visitation will be 9am-10am Saturday at Stringer Family Funeral Services in Crystal Springs.  Services will be 10am Saturday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Old Crystal Springs Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.Mr. Kees was a native of Mendenhall and a former resident of Baton Rouge, LA and Charleston, S.C. for several years before moving to Crystal Springs.  Mr. Kees was a Baptist.  He drove a truck for 54 years.He is survived by his wife, Wanda Bounds Kees; sons, James (Jamie) Kees of Crystal Springs and Michael Kees of Lafayette, LA; daughter, Kimberly Lusk of Wesson; brother, Charles Kees of Crystal Springs; sister, Johnnie Jennings of Rockport; and grandchildren Aleigha Kees, Wyatt Kees, Peyton Lusk, and Shaun Lusk. Jeanie Cheramie Howell

Visitation will be 9am-11am Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs.  Services will be 11am Tuesday at Stringer Family Chapel with burial at Crystal Springs Cemetery.  Stringer Family Funeral Home in Crystal Springs is handling arrangements.Mrs. Howell was a graduate of LSU and was Mardi Gras Queen.  She was a Special Education and English Teacher.  Mrs. Howell attended St. John’s Catholic Church.She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Howell; son, Buddy Howell; daughter, Charlotte Howell; and brother, Russell Cheramie.She is survived by her son, Tally Howell of Crystal Springs; brothers, Manny Cheramie and Harris Cheramie of Galliano, LA;  sister-in-law, June Cheramie of Galliano, LA; sister, Corina Callais of Galliano, LA; and 7 grandchildren, Collin Slay, Lexie Slay, Catherine Howell, Allison Howell, Arianna Howell, Abigail Howell, and Andrew Howell.

Thomas Hayes “Skeet” Carraway

Visitation will be on Monday, October 19, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, Mississippi. Services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Stringer Family Chapel, with burial at Pine Bluff-Dentville Cemetery in Dentville. MS.  Stringer Family Funeral Services in Hazlehurst is handling arrangements.Mr. Carraway was born to Ezekiel W. and Ada B. Carraway in Copiah County, MS. He and his wife, Sarah Velma Smith Carraway formerly lived in Baton Rouge, La. For 40 years where their family belonged as members of Florida Blvd. Baptist Church. Thomas “Skeet” worked for the local State Times/Morning advocate Newspaper as a printer for 38 years.  The couple retired to Wesson, MS, in 1987 and later moved to Fayetteville, AR in 2001.  Mr. Carraway was preceded in death by his wife, and continued to live in Fayetteville, AR until his death. Mr. Carraway was also a veteran and served during WWII as a medic in a mash unit in the South Seas on Goodenough Island in Papua New Guinea.He is survived by two daughters, Mandy Cummins of Baton Rouge La.,  and Miriam Atwood and her husband, Dan, of Fayetteville, AR.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren;  three surviving sisters: Joy Granger, Juanita Harris, and Elizabeth Waltman and  their families; and the families of two other sisters who preceded him in death: Dorothy Mangold and Fay Gandy. A beloved husband, father, brother, and loving member of a large family, with many friends; he will be sorely missed.
